02/01/2026 - Long time no see! Life got really busy, so this obviously took a backseat. Let's see, what happened in the past eight or nine months...

Work has been more or less steady, been at my current job for more than a year now which is cool.

My roommate situation blew up and my partner and I got majorly fucked over, but we found a place and got accepted EXTREMELY last minute, so that's good. There were some extreme kinks to work out with the apartment itself and having really only a couple days to pack everything and move, but friends and family really came through for us to make this happen. Now that we're a few months settled in, my only active major complaint is that we're on the third floor of a building with no elevator, which is not great given my mobility issues, but so far we're managing. We're not 100% unpacked yet because Ben and I are both disabled and working jobs, but it really feels like a home now. Our living room is cute, I love our kitchen, Xmas this year provided a lot of really solid equipment for our music-listening setup, so I have nice speakers and can actually listen to my records now and have a tape deck that isn't a rescued boombox from 1980 hooked jerryrigged to play through a stereo receiver from 2006. Just this week we finally got a dining table, I built it myself yesterday, I'm blogging while sat at it right now. Between all that we finally have the capacity to plan a months-belated housewarming party, which I'm really excited about. Sorry, no invite unless you know me IRL :P.

What else... I have been working on a website, just not this one, I'll share it here when it's ready. It's for a project I'm doing with two of my best friends that is attached to our local(ish) DIY music scene, and I'm really excited about it. It's been a really cool creative outlet for us lately, getting to use both my hobbyist webmastering AND graphic design skillz. Plus I'm hand-making and selling pinback buttons at shows, after having thrifted that machine. I think I've technically broken even on the cost of the machine now? Or, rather, what I paid for the machine, not what it typically costs. Whatever. I'll share pictures later once I have more time set aside to work on this site specifically. Speaking of the site, thank FUCK I have that to-do list on the front page, because otherwise I'd be totally lost as to how to pick up where I left off.

04/29/2025 - Woo okay! Art gallery page finally up, even if I don't have much new work to show off on it. We're a good ways along in getting the Bones done so the Stuff can go up easier. Two of the four paths on the Crossroads page will use very similar (if not the same) templates as each other/the bulk of the rest of this site, so that'll make it easy. If you noticed that this page used to have an incorrect title, no you didn't. Also I changed the colors. Not settled on them so they may change yet again.

04/26/2025 - The code for this is copied almost wholesale from the last iteration of the site blog, which is why it's red and black. Might change this later, unsure, feeling lazy at the moment. Anyway this page exists now/again. The entry footer might be a little redundant with having it on the front page too, but think of it as the difference between a journal and a status update. Also I miss it from my dA days so I don't really care.
