ABOUT THE M4G3
Hi my name is Glitch! Or Matt, or Batz, or a couple other things, depending on where you know me from.
I'm 26, I live in Southern California, and I like to think of myself as an artist. Career-wise I work in retail, but art and design are things I like to pursue in my free time.
I use they/them, xe/xyr, and he/him pronouns. I'm queer and consider myself a butch trans man. Kind of. It's complicated! I'm also polyamorous, and I have a partner of 4+ years who I love very much.
I'm physically disabled. I use mobility aids! I use a cane most days, and a manual wheelchair some other days, when the terrain allows it. My disability is something I have complicated feelings about, but most of the time, the only thing that sucks about it is how inaccessible a lot of places are when you have mobility isses.
I have a lot of hobbies that I'm too scattered to consistently engage in, but to name a few... I like to draw, play video games, embroider, roleplay, collage. I'm not very knowledgable on these subjects, but I'm also very enthusiastic about oldish technology and software, and I have a very small collection of radios and cameras, as well as a growing shelf of old books about particularly dated web design.
I like robots and vampires and stories about those things. I like stories that play with the medium they're created in and break convention, like Homestuck or House of Leaves. I like stories about gods and demons, like Good Omens or The Wicked + The Divine. I'm kind of a lapsed comic book fan, Daredevil and also the X-Men hold a very special place in my heart.
I like puzzle games like Tetris and Crossniq+ a lot. The Borderlands series is something I also play a lot of, but I haven't gotten around to playing the new Tales game so please no spoilers, haha. Splatoon 3 and Tears of the Kingdom and Pokemon Violet are some other things I'm playing right now. I also like to play short indie horror games on itch.io with my sister and my friends.
I have a big Interest in queer and gender topics. I'm not much of a Queer Studies scholar or a trans historian, but I do like talking about these things. I'm trying to get more well read on the subject. Same with labor history. And linguistics and semiotics and communication studies and broadcast history and and and. I'd love to study a lot of things, and I hope one day to find the time and access to do so.
